Snowy slopes and sunny skies

MAKING THE MOST OF YOUR FAMILY SKI HOLIDAYS IN THE DOLOMITES

There are many reasons to take your family skiing in the Dolomites, from child-friendly facilities to possibly the loveliest mountain views in the world. With the Plose ski area a convenient three kilometres away, and four more ski resorts all within easy reach, AKI Family Resort Plose offers privileged access to some of the best ski experiences the world has to offer.

Whether your children are still practising their first snowploughs or already shredding the pow, everyone is sure to return from the slopes with a big, bright smile.

All you need to pack is your love of snow – AKI’s dedicated services and the prize-winning ski schools, equipment hire shops and top-notch facilities will provide everything else.

LEARNING TO SKI AT AKI

Another promising, sunny morning. Fuelled up by a lavish breakfast, you collect your equipment from the hotel’s ski depot or simply hire it at reception. With your children already champing at the bit, you head towards the practice slope with its magic carpet just outside the door.

Where to spend this family skiing day? The Dolomites offer so much, and with all the Isarco valley’s five ski resorts at your fingertips, you’re spoilt for choice. Maybe you’ll start off with our “backyard ski area”, Mt. Plose. Tomorrow, you can use our complimentary shuttle to reach any other of the local resorts: Rio Pusteria, Racines-Giovo, Monte Cavallo and Ladurns-Colle Isarco

If you want to take your skiing to the next level through professional training, the ski courses and private lessons we organise for our guests at AKI are the answer, with options to suit all age groups and levels of ability.
Carve out a stress-free, fun-packed experience for your family ski holiday – live the Dolomites the way you deserve.

PLOSE – OUR BACKYARD SLOPES

Switching from the cosy comfort of your suite to the panoramic wonder of Mt. Plose’s pistes takes just a few minutes. Look forward to 40 kilometres of ski and snowboard runs, seven state-of-the-art lifts, idyllic snow walks and a number of Alpine huts where you can combine a relaxing break with an indulgent culinary exploration.

From the Randötsch rope tow with two children’s runs to Trametsch – South Tyrol’s longest descent run – and from snow parks to childcare on snow, this relatively small but top-quality ski area won’t disappoint.

RIO PUSTERIA – THE FAMILY-LOVING SKI RESORT

Located a 40-minute drive from us, the Rio Pusteria ski resort comprises the two areas of Gitschberg and Jochtal and is seriously geared towards families. It features 25 different pistes extending over a total length of 51 kilometres, as well as snow parks, fun rides, children’s amenities and an ever-evolving offer of services and facilities for a carefree day of family skiing in the Dolomites. Last but not least, the Rio Pusteria ski resort enjoys access to Dolomiti Superski, the largest ski circuit in the world.

WHEN MORE IS MORE

From AKI Family Hotel Plose you will also enjoy easy access to all the other Isarco valley ski resorts, namely Monte Cavallo in Vipiteno (17 kilometres of pistes), Racines-Giovo (25 kilometres of pistes) and Ladurns-Colle Isarco (15 kilometres of pistes). All offer snow guarantees, exceptional panoramas and a faceted experience thanks to sledge runs, winter walks and cosy Alpine huts.
